Why make it more difficult than necessary?!
We believe that Jesus Christ is Lord, Savior, and God
we Believe:
THE BIBLE – We believe the Bible is God’s inspired Word to mankind, inerrant in its original writings, and the only reliable source of Truth. (2 Timothy 3:16-17; 2 Peter 1:19-21)
GOD – We believe there is one true sovereign God - the Creator of the universe. He has existed eternally as three persons: the Father, the Son (Jesus Christ), and the Holy Spirit. These three are one God, having the same nature, attributes and perfection. (Genesis 1:1; Matthew 28:19-20; John 1:1-3; 2 Corinthians 13:14)
JESUS – We believe in the deity of the Lord Jesus Christ, begotten of the Holy Spirit, born of the virgin Mary, truly God, and truly man. (Matthew 1:18-25; John 1:1-3, 14; 10:30)
HOLY SPIRIT – We believe God, in the person of the Holy Spirit, indwells every true believer of Christ to enable him/her to live a powerful Christian life. (Acts 1:4-5; Romans 8:9-11; 1 Corinthians 12:13)
MAN – We believe that God created man in His image, but that the whole human race fell in the sin of Adam, and apart from Christ, is spiritually dead and lost. Due to sin all human kind are separated from God. (Genesis 1:26-27; Romans 3:10-18; Romans 5:12; Romans 6:23)
SALVATION – We believe that Jesus Christ died for sinners, providing a pardon for all who trust in Him. Forgiveness of sin and reconciliation with God is available to all who believe in Christ and come humbly to Him. It is impossible to do anything to earn or merit salvation. Instead, forgiveness comes to us as a gift from God through His Son Jesus. (John 3:16; Romans 5:8-11; Ephesians 2:8-9)
RESURRECTION – We believe Christ arose from the dead and now sits at the right hand of the Father, reigning over heaven and earth until His enemies become His footstool. (Luke 24:37-43; Mark 16:19; 1 Corinthians 15:3-6; Ephesians 1:19-22; 1 Peter 3:22)
BAPTISM & COMMUNION – We believe in the water baptism of all true believers as an outward and visible sign of our identification with Jesus - His death, burial and resurrection. We believe in the partaking of communion (the Lord’s supper) in remembrance of our Lord and what He did for us on the cross. (Mark 16:16; Matthew 28:29; Matthew 26:26; 1 Corinthians 10:16)
THE CHURCH – We believe the Church is the “Body of Christ” and is comprised of all those who have been granted saving faith in Him. We believe that this is a holy calling and that we are to be devoted to one another in brotherly love. In whole-hearted love for God we joyfully embrace the high-calling and invitation to join Him in His mission to mankind for His Glory. (Romans 12:9-10; Ephesians 1:22-23; 1 Corinthians 12:27; 2 Cor 5:18-20; Phil 2:9-11)
THE SECOND COMING OF CHRIST – We believe Jesus Christ will come again, visibly and bodily, to judge the world and to gather His own unto Himself. (Acts 1:11; 2 Timothy 4:1; 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17)
THE FINAL JUDGEMENT – All shall stand some day before the judgment seat of God; and there receive eternal life (heaven) or death (hell). (2 Corinthians 5:10; Hebrew 9:27)
